The rustic barnwood for this project came from Grand Junction, Colorado, and the bar came from Montana. The Silver Hawk Casino in Black Hawk is a replica of an historical gold mill.
In the later 90's, larger 'Vegas' type casinos started to move in, the restrictions were relaxed, and the historical committee was dissolved. Every window removed needed to go through the historical architectural review committee (a.k.a. When Complete Construction built multiple casinos in Black Hawk in 1991, historical accuracy was required.
